Thank God it’s Friday means the end of the work week for many people, But not for Thomas Daniels, Jason Drummond, and Kevin Gates. These 3 Orange NJ Police officers work part time as club bouncers at the city’s most popular club.

Every Friday night club CIC is packed full of party goers. The people that come out to party and have a good time at CIC, never really think about who’s protecting them.

These police officers chose to put down the weapons that protect them in the streets of Orange, for an orange tee-shirt that reads security in bold and a flash light.

Thomas:  The game plan is we all move as one unit… and the mindset is that we have zero tolerance for any kind of nonsense…

It 13 bouncers inside the club and a crew of 6 outside the club Jason Drummond the head of the crew on the outside of the club has the most important job, he has to be able to read signs such as tear drop tattoos, which  lets him know that this person is in a gang.

Jason:  That lets me know they’re in a different type of setting, but again I go back to the guns and knives if I can keep these out the club we looking at a good night.

Kevin is a Police sergeant on the streets of Orange and also leads the team of bouncer at club CIC, He say the most important thing is to have a strong presence inside the club.

Kevin:  When they look up people know that we there and it makes the woman feel a lot safer… The goal is to get everybody home safe, and get my staff home safe.

Parties in cities such as Orange NJ can be some of the most violent environments you will ever set foot in; it’s the job of these bouncers to keep everyone safe. And at the end of most Friday nights at Club CIC, the bouncers are happy, because everyone made it home safely.

That was Kean news I’m Lantz Jeudy
